ifilm introduces most active stars at the 38th Fajr Film Festival.

With less than three weeks to go until the opening ceremony of the 38th annual Fajr Film Festival and after the announcement of this year’s participants, the events most active stars have been identified.

The most active star in this year’s event appears in five films with more than a dozen others tied for their appearance in two films each.

The most active among the participants this year is none other than the award-winning actor Mohammad-Javad Ezzati who will be appearing in ‘Atabay’ by Niki Karimi, ‘Amphibian’ by Borzou Niknejad, ‘Bone Marrow’ by Hamid-Reza Qorbani, ‘Butterfly Stroke’ by Mohammad Kart, and ‘The Sun’ by Majid Majidi.

The movie stars tied for second most active include Hadi Hejazifar, Pejman Jamshidi, Ali Shademan, Babak Hamidiyan, Parinaz Izadyar, and Tannaz Tabatabaei with each starring in two films.

Hejazifar will be appearing in ‘Atabay’ and ‘Amphibian. Jamshidi stars in ‘The Good, the Bad, the Corny: Secret Army’ by Peyman Qasemkhani and ‘Amphibian’.

Shademan is to appear in ‘Dying in Holy Water’ by Navid Mahmoudi and ‘Butterfly Stroke’. Hamidiyan will be starring in Behrouz Shoeibi’s ‘The Day of Uprising’ as well as ‘Bone Marrow’.

Izadyar is set to appear in ‘Three Years Prison’ by Saman Salvar and ‘Bone Marrow’. Tabatabaei will appear in ‘Butterfly Stroke’ and ‘The Sun’.

Some other celebrities on the list are Neda Jebraeeli, Setareh Pesyani, Leila Zare, Hamed Komeili, Alireza Sanifar, Mehran Ahmadi, Pouriya Rahimi-Sam, and Alireza Mehran.

The Fajr Film Festival coincides with the Ten-Day Fajr (Dawn) ceremonies across Iran, marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Since its establishment in 1982, the Fajr Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors along with up and coming filmmakers from Iran every year.

The 38th edition of the event is set to launch on February 1, 2020 and will run until February 11 in Tehran.

An international version of the event is also set to be held in April 2020.
